Was like a new couple that had bought a house and meeting up to get the keys and handover.....
Actually a lovely image of the womenfolk coming together as wives to share gifts and good wishes and kisses of respect.... Wonder what was in that gift box from Mrs Trump to Mrs Obama. I actually liked the outfit Mrs Trump was wearing and she did look dignified as did both Mr and Mrs Obama.
But all the lavishness was befitting the ceremony of a president handing over and taking office, yet sad it did not bring in the ordinary folk of the country. The walk passed with all the bands and groups was good. However, would have been really a great touch if at the dinner and partying some homeless and hungry could have had a priority attendance to show commitment to all to help all become great and valued. (something take note I wish our PM would do as so many homeless just a short walk away from Downing Street.) Whilst our PM has promised to reduce homelessness it would be good to involve in some of the pomp and ceremonies of the countries they belong too. Also noticed not all citizens got chance to be involved in spiritual prayers and blessing of a new president... would have been wonderful if the indigenous American Indians had been invited to give a blessing, and for other religions of Hindus, Buddhist, Muslims..... so it tended to show division rather than a greatness that an only be got by respect for one another and value of one another and working together.
Was alarmed at the fact that within a few hours of the New administration that the Mr Trump was merrily signing off laws and stripping back on issues he does not agree with on even the Whitehouse website........ alarmed as I would have thought like our constitution there should be house debate and voting before such action.... So now I feel that this is looking like an autocratic administration and now the US of Trumpdom not the Great America he preaches... but we will see. Very alarmed at one of our MEPs on his MEP salary attending the lavish hotel and partying... it begs the question who is paying for him to be there...... UK taxpayers, EU or the taxpayers of the US of Trumpdom...? The attendance record of this MEP is showing marked absences ... so should he been moonlighting like this?????
The problems of homelessness is one ALL world leaders need to buck their ideas up and acts to help.... this is representative of 3 decades of failing to respond to the UN warning of the predicted now in world population explosion. All were told to prepare their infrastructures to accommodate all but no one did hence why the Slums and Resettlement report of 2003 showed major failings with slums in all countries...... goodness knows what that report would read like for 2017 - no world leader can rest of party around while such problems exist. No rest while citizens are in pain from maladministration of policies that were not thought out for all.....
