Some months ago I had some sweet potato fries with my Daughter in London... we had ordered a chicken burger and these fries in the little baskets..... I am hooked on them now. In my search to expand on my Dutch reading and speaking I have a link up to Libelle magazine and found this article on a comparison of nutrition of ordinary potatoes and sweet potatoes. The sweet potato and the regular potato
do not seem to differ so much at all. For example, they both contain about the
same amount of calories, carbohydrates and fiber. Of course there are differences: normal
potatoes contain more iron, potassium and vitamin C, but also less sugar. Sweet
potatoes, in turn, contain more fiber, calcium and vitamin A. The one can not
be called healthier than the other.
