Health is made at home webinar

Yesterday was the last in the series of webinars put together by Lord Nigel Crisp on the theme of Health is made at home hospital are for repairs.  The Recording available now

"Health is made at home describes the different roles played by the health creators, NHS and Government in our health and wellbeing and calls for new partnerships between all sectors.  This final webinar, facilitated by New NHS Alliance, discusses how these partnerships work in practice today and what they could contribute for the future. 1948 saw the coming together of all the providers of health services in a national health service available equally to everyone.Today we need a new coming together of all the organisations that help create health as part of building a healthy and health-creating society."

I enjoy these webinars and the sharing of good projects that are already working to create a healthier community. Dr Gillian Orrow a GP was sharing her work on community food growing to ensure healthy eating. All speakers were stimulating Prof Donna Hall from Wigan was interesting with her ethnological approach to understanding and development of healthy communities Some articles by Prof Donna Hall
Lord Victor Adebowale  was speaking a lot of sense and the main point is to action all the ideas and words into actuality of healthier societies.

My summary it becomes clear we all need to link up as there are some good models and projects being developed. There are groups developing out of response of the pandemic that want change to have a healthier population, community and care for our planet.  We have the pandemic, Climate change and for the UK the massive change of Brexit with all the confusion this is making too! We have high levels of stress and mental issues because there feels no firm ground to plan ahead.. These webinars have given me and other hope that we can and will build a better future.
