Windsor Farm Shop

There are times when one needs to have a change of shopping from Aldi & local coop... 💗👑 and complete with a lovely drive to Windsor ...sadly we missed an audience with Liz she has decanted to Balmoral....though Debbie & I did not have the place to ourselves there was a queue of others awaiting purchase of plants, groceries & delicatessen goods.. at her backyard Farm shop....
Rishi will be pleased with our VAT on goods...see Chancellor the £s find their way back to the treasury... :-)
We got food for dinner and cheeses and grocery goodies.... sorted for weekend now... bargain roses and plants for both our gardens... lovely time out...

Lockdown

My freedom pass is gathering dust in my handbag
I'm feeling in a time lag
I am in lockdown in my home
But still I can roam
Through a portal called zoom
I take visits to meetings from my room
New friends met on screen
Loneliness dispelled ...on them I can lean
New knowledge learned
New respect earned
My voice heard
Lockdown unlocked a new door
New adventures to explore.

Todays Brunel Webinar - Effective Working from Home

Some screen captures from today Brunel University Webnar looking at working from home remotely.
A point in the chat I put is that I am not feeling remote more like connected not only locally but globally. So many meetings and conferences and webinars I have been able to attend.. so I am happy to Zoooooom on ....
There was another point I had to make was the identification of fatigue... this I feel no matter whether back in the office or work space or at home the pandemic brings with it a roller coster of up high proactive days and down depressed days full of worry and anxiety... some days just in a daze trying to make sense of it all...Just heard Mark Lebbet from the Chase on Loose women and it makes a good point if your tired you really need to shutdown and sleep ... this is an advice from crossing time zones when in travel to and from gigs... but it is sometimes so necessary to recharge sleep doze to then improve productivity... it is affecting us all in some way or another... I found that Zoom has in fact enhanced coming together and sharing to help cope with this crazy time of pandemic...

We take care of each other

It is an absolute human certainty that no one can know their own beauty or perceive a sense of one's own worth until it has been reflected back to us in the mirror of another loving, caring human being. 💛 When kindness is given, it always returns. Kindness is a circle

Thurs 30th July New Economics Briefing Zoom

This zoom meeting I attended but predominately listened.  I need to follow up more on the points discussed.  I am late posting as there was a local neighbourhood issue to deal with... so catching up on my zooming share with my readers now. The meeting was looking at:-
"How has the Hostile Environment impacted migrant health, and how has this played out during the pandemic? What can be done to ensure that everyone, regardless of their immigration status, is able to access healthcare on an equal footing?"
If you follow the link you will see the recording and some additional reference links... plus learn more about New Economics

Thursday 30th July webinar Brunel

This webinar from Brunel University was great to be welcomed by Seb Jenner our amazing event co-ordinator now Pandemic Webinar coordinator.. so look out for more good zoom meetings .. We were looking at ways of changing behaviour for health... but in my question was pointing out people need to have living dignity with this financial dignity and feel safe and secure... we need Maslow's hierarchy of needs to be met to achieve full potential and creativity... so this needs no wars no oppression, needs job security income security and peace with this peace of mind... certainly in the backdrop now of the pandemic we need clarity of direction and support for one another and our communities...... So how do we factor all this into our assessment and planning for well being?
