🏥💗got a call to go to Harefield Hospital as a spare Out patient slot today to pick up my CPAP machine for home management of sleep apnoeas. Was early so had time in the chapel ..the stainglass window amazing ..and spooky my year of birth 1954 how my life pathway led to being a nurse and midwife .. My Respiratory technician Alice was so kind with me and calmly explained set up of machine.. mask fitting ..and the start up gradual air pressure from 4 to 8 for night time sleep.. had time to practice and feel the positive pressure air ventilation.. But note this machine needs electric power .John McDonnell MP . So will I get Winter Fuel Allowance and a social tariff. Many patients need energy service help with home medical equipment, management that saves admission to the NHS beds!
