Flowers for the garden

 The Flower Stall in Uxbridge today was full of garden flowers 

so beautiful to see had to get some for my garden. 

These are called Pink Kisses.

Last night Boshra was sharing with me some of her artwork.... if you nip over to my Family Link Up blog - Pouring out art to heal & rebuild you will see some more of her work.  Today been trying out prints of this particular study "Head full of Flowers" I have one being framed by Bovilles & Wrights in Uxbridge...to pick up later in the week... Plus had one printed as photo too....I am looking at ways to market her work.....

Art print fun today

 Been getting some of the photos collages print out for my Family Link Up some will be for frames but one I have had done as a jigsaw for Leen and Celine to have fun with. Thanks to Raz pics in Uxbridge for helping with this. 

Belts match

Well pleased with these two belts that I found in the Thames Valley Hospice shop in Uxbridge. I had not found any to match the knitted jacket I had made.. just wafted into the shop on the of chance they had a selection of donated belts... and bingo got the colours I needed..

Loving the James C Brett yarns and patterns this chunky cardigan is knit on the vertical for the body and is fun to do. The double moss stitch gives it a tweed look. There are a good range of colour mix choices too.

This book is wonderful I saw it today in Waterstones Uxbridge.... it is a book that will become an heirloom to pass to grandkids and great grandkids. I spotted it in the shop window and went in to see it.... lovely to have a good catch up natter with the staff too..

Cute Flower Faces

 Could not resist these cute little faces - lol Pansies do look like they have smiling and cheeky faces.....love the flower stall in Uxbridge by the station for picking up beautiful plants. The pansies now planted in my garden... thanks to the arthritic knees kneeling stool I have now... Makes it so much easier to get down and up again!

Grande Tasse with a Grande Message

Could not resist this Grande Tasse in Debanhams Uxbridge today! It was my "brave lady" treat after a visit to the Dentist :-) but in honesty always feel well cared for with Irfan my dentist....

Jasmine flower and perfume...

💗Woke to the sweet perfume of Jasmine from these little beauties opening from their buds..... Welcome and thank you......My Mother's day plant blossoming and there is a great crown of blooms to still open...... the perfume is so beautiful now with a few open so will be amazing with all in bloom..... it all reminds me of my time in India...Jasmine a very well used in the home and for temples and hair decoration... There is a thicker version that can make garlands for hair decorations and over photos of passed loved one and gods...... 
It is a national flower of many countries one being Syria - the city of Damascus is called the City of Jasmine.

Mother and Daughter Dress-Up Dolls: Costumes From Around the World

Managed to get a copy of this Dress up Dolls for Leen and Celine Family Link Up and it is on its way to them now.  It reminds me of when I was a child and loved playing with dressing up paper dolls..... I found out about this book from FutureLearn course on Teaching English to refugee children. This is a useful tool to help the class and be aware of all the world cultures and national costumes. 

Snuggled warm learning Dutch

 Snuggled up warm with the cats reading the lovely Belgium magazine I picked up on the trip recently..... Interesting article on Yoga - more I look and read more I can get the gist if not full meaning of Dutch... but need to speak it and listen to it more.... Hope I can get back out to Belgium to see Boshra and the girls soon as enjoy being with them and in the lovely town they live in now.
