Busy Knitting

Busy knitting this week for Boshra, Leen and Celine's mum from my Family Link Up project the lace was a battle as had to really concentrate but won through. My neighbour Ros likes this and we were thinking a nice brooch would finish this off. But then I think it would be nice to get a matching scarf hijab. Boshra as seen the pictures and likes it. My neighbour as given some vests and a hat for the girls too for when I parcel this off.

I rather like this as reminds me of my youth and enjoying as I do now coffee and cake at some interesting location.... much nicer with an interesting caring man to chat to and go for a walk with too... ;-)

I saw this in the shop window as I passed today so do not know what is the name of the work or artist....but for me it is a Tree full of Hearts and makes me think that we must plant our roots in love so we can blossom love.

Turkish Lira Market

The drop in Turkish Lira with the latest political situation from Trumps sanctions as brought some positive from the negative for some property developers. Read the Guardian article in full Guardian Property in Turkey Also now is the time for some good fundraising for the Family Link Up project as to send funds to Dante in Turkey would mean they could purchase more for their Euro and would give some local traders some business too.... Duck Pond Market Ruislip

SnowPeaks Nepali Arts & Crafts

Been a good Sunday afternoon at the Duck Pond Market in Ruislip. I have been with my Grand daughter which was nice to have her company... easy to meet up in Uxbridge then take the metro to Ruislip. The High street there was worrying as so many shops have closed down... The artisan market was less than usual too. But my friend and supporter of Family Link Up was there with her Nepalese stall.

I got a lovely snugly shawl for Boshra in Belgium which will be warm for her in winter or she can snuggle up the kids too with it as it's a good size. So some more love from Nepal to the Syrians. I have taken over toys and little play bags for the kids before when Boshra and the family were in Eleonas Camp if you remember from past posts.. It feels nice to link up traders from around the world to share love for one another this way. The Nepalese craftsman & traders are pleased their goods go to help others through my Family Link Up project.

This cacti stall was fascinating my granddaughter as she says she is getting into the cacti plants and wanted one for her bedroom to care for. We got to know that they spurn off young plants too so she can get into propagating them too.

I will have to look out for a book on the subject for her to read up more on this.

She chose a Zebra one for now..

A tree full of hearts in the art shop. I would have liked to have got this for Boshras new apartment... but then she will be creating her own artwork soon and we can get her work framed and sold for her to earn by.
