Knitting mood

Been in a knitting mood from getting those fascinating buttons from the Canal Fair last bank holiday. This fun random coloured wool was perfect for them as they toned in well... an the girls got some animal images on the buttons to vocabulary learn too.  So this is finished and been sent to Belgium to Boshra.
I enjoyed working with that wool and it was reasonable price too ... I have a ball left and may actually knit some socks with that.... as I enjoy four needle knitting.  read more on my Family Link Up blog Family Link Up

Love is the way

Spirit of love a tapestry from Peru by Museo Maximo
When love is the way, unselfish, sacrificial, redemptive, when love is the way, then no child will go to bed hungry in this world ever again. When love is the way, we will let justice roll down like a mighty stream and righteousness like an ever-flowing brook. When love is the way, poverty will become history. When love is the way, the Earth will be a sanctuary. When love is the way, we will lay down our swords and shields, down by the riverside, to study war no more. When love is the way, there's plenty good room, plenty good room, for all of god's children because when love is the way, we actually treat each other well, like we are actually family. When love is the way, we know that god is the source of us all and we are brothers and sisters, children of god. My brothers and sisters, that's a new heaven, a new Earth, a new world, a new human family.
quote: Rev. Curry 19 May 2018 from the Royal wedding sermon.

Royal Wedding

Been so busy since my last post on this blog.... and what a wonderful Saturday I had just got totally enthralled by the Royal Wedding... I was glued to the telly it was so enchanting and moved you along a wonderful magical day of love. It is so obvious that our Harry is so in love with Meghan and she with him too.... I feel a breath of fresh air in the royal family and look forward to the capacity of good charity work this couple can do, most of all make change for the welfare of all and empower women. I know it cost a lot the wedding but Windsor businesses are reporting a good profit from the influx of the thousands of people coming to watch along the route of the procession. Travel into UK visas and the airport will have brought in tax revenue. The local hotels and restaurants and bars mega busy. The worlds press around too made it manic in the town.  I love Windsor but was not able to go as no funds to go... ironically. I used to love driving to Windsor and visiting the Farm Shop behind the castle.... But I believe that that day the guests were using that space for parking and arrival.
When I saw Meghan or as she is titled now Duchess of Sussex I recognised the tiara... from my history books remembered seeing photos of Queen Mary with this tiara... When I googled to learn more found this good report from Vogue Vogue - History of Meghan's tiara
Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara is made of diamonds and platinum, in 11 sections with interlaced ovals. The centerpiece is detachable, and the rest of the tiara was actually made specifically for that center brooch, which was given to the then-Princess Mary for her wedding to Prince George. Later, the bandeau and brooch were both given to Queen Elizabeth in 1953.
I felt that Prince Charles was so caring that day for Meghan and her mother he seemed to spontaneously and with his heart guide them and take Meghan's mother under his wing... but it did seem sad to see her sat on her own - maybe this was needed for her to take all in as it is a quite a shift in life for her.
Lisa Cole on facebook posted this photo with the message - Can we just take a moment to honor this beautiful, strong woman (Meghan Markle’s Mother, Doria Ragland) who sat alone, wistfully alone, a million miles from home -in a situation so foreign to her own life- with grace, dignity, poise, honor and deep love for the child she raised? THAT, is royalty.
She is smiling in that photo I believe when the Hot spicy Rev preacher was speaking - ohh I love Rev Curry and his sermon... it was a message for all the world and he had the platform to get this message across..  The transcript of his sermon is in many publications... found it here in the Town & Country
Town & Country Magazine - Rev Curry Royal Wedding
Love is the only way. There's power in love. Don't underestimate it. Don't even over sentimentalize it. There's power, power in love. If you don't believe me, think about a time when you first fell in love. The whole world seemed to center around you and your beloved. Well, there's power, power in love, not just in its romantic forms, but any form, any shape of love.
I enjoyed looking at all the outfits but you know Princess Anne looked nice in her coat dress... some have said it looked like a dressing gown... I see what they mean but for me it did look a good design and it looked neat and easy to wear... but then I suppose many of the dressing gown critics would say there you have reinforced our idea of it.
There is extensive reports in Hello Magazine for all the photos including the official ones... Hello Magazine Royal Wedding
and here is the new website for the Duchess of Sussex up and running on Monday Official Royal website - Duchess of Sussex

Ohhh like this only been hearing over the last 24 hours and hooked... the lyrics are touching too...
"Storms don't last forever, forever, remember
We can hold our hands together
Through this storm oh oh, through this storm, oh oh
Storms don't last forever, forever, remember
We can hold our hands together
Through this storm oh oh, through this storm, oh oh"

Canal boat fair Paddington

This was my first day out on the train to London since being in hospital.  I was a bit guarded with my energy but with will power managed this trip. Perfect as just had to get to Paddington station and then the fair was literally at the side of the station as the canal runs by there. It did me good and was only out for 3 hours so not too much.  Met a lovely Engineering student on the train. She was preparing for some exams.. but we had an really good natter on Pavegen; Solar energy... Hope Chelsea keeps in touch will be great to see how she does on her degree course. I do miss being round students.

Family Link Up update from Tuesday

Parcel arrived today

yea just got some photos from Boshra in Belgium that the parcel arrived... love seeing Princess Leen's face light up with a new book to read and learn with.. But looking by the cardigan it may be that Leen will get some wear out of this before little sister Celine... so pretty a pattern and wool ... just wish I could get the pink circus dress from Mothercare it would go nicely.
I was feeling down the last few days normal after pneumonia and gathering your energy but the family have helped me today... given me a surge of energy.. Dante had a talk with me on skype from Turkey and I had time with little Ahmed and the family there through my lap top.... then this now with the photos from Belgium...

I am renewing my networking to find paid work and also looking to see if I had been shortlisted for a poetry competition... sadly just seen not as that would have brought in a £5000 first prize Poetry Society Competitions  I will keep trying to find ways to get funds in as Family Link Up is my life... I am so so ready to go and visit Boshra and the girls. I would love to travel to Turkey too to see the family and groups there again.
It would be good to get more interactive books and bilingual books plus education games and toys. Also so art materials for Boshra so she can paint and sell her artwork in the local markets and online.
I am a hand to hand link up
and can evidence your help with thanks!
This project is my life for the rest of my life for sure and there is so much we can do together in the family life rebuild.
