Love SkyArts and the Portrait Artist of the year... just managed to catch this programme today. All the artists produced beautiful work with their own take and style. Out of them all I am fascinated by this portrait, there is one detail that brings all to life...its the light capture on her earring... this is truly what it was like as she sat in the studio lights of the area...love this work.. uplifting with the beauty...

Garden slowly waking up..
It was worth wrapping up in the rain yesterday and hobbling down my garden path...(as still struggling with right branch sciatica) I had spotted this bloom from my kitchen window ..could not resist touching the energy of its beauty.. Gardens and flowers taking me away from my pain... shukran Allah thank God for the beauty of creation. Then today noticed my Jasmine starting to form bloom shoots..

Our Syrian Yorkshire Lass
so lovely to see Razen on the BBC Escape to the Country programme yesterday afternoon. The show was helping a couple find a property in Yorkshire (my birthplace) in the format of the show they visit and explore interesting places & people in the area. How wonderful that Razen was chosen from her value of Yorkshire Dairy farmers milk quality to make her Squeaky Yorkshire Dama Cheese follow the link for her delicious products but also her story of fleeing war losing all but proactive building a business in Yorkshire as her safe place to be. She inspirational brings tears to my eyes with awe and knowing all she has bee through. My work with my refugees gives me insight. I have met Razen and heard her speak at Kings College, humble lady that glows with inspiration and love for all she does. You can see in the face of the presenter how she connects with people and are touched by her resilience.
