Great review of Day of Action for COP26 by doctors from Medact this evening.. Read more about the work to achieve healthy world, healthy climate, greener NHS Medact loved the report that a version of the catchy Sea Shanty was sung along some of the marches. I need to find more on this. Also like the idea Liverpool docs had of the Earth on a Stretcher in need of urgent attention. There are plans to hand in a letter to Downing street it will be brilliant on that day for stretcher idea down Whitehall & singing shanty song. There was also reference to teaming up with Stitches4survival

Castle Fine Art visit
Yesterday got drawn into the The Castle Fine Art Gallery such beautful artwork on display and for sale. Some crisp intriguing techniques.. like the mountain piece I loved the way the artist had used metallics to remind us of the mineral structure of rocks & mountains under the soft appealing snow covering. Here are some captures but please check out Billy Connolly's Christmas Editions his work was just being arranged to display. As a nurse I had to marvel in his work given his present journey with Parkinson's. More example of how art can help healing be it mind & soul if body suffering. It is a wonderful way to express and reconnect with self. Just as with Bushra on her healing journey & reconnecting with self from war trauma. Bushra's Art page Family Link Up
Magic carpets in Windsor
Transported to another land in Windsor Daniels store This corner of wonder full of rugs & carpets & cushions made me think of my travels go Turkey. I teased the traders Where is my Elemet cay ..Apple tea.. he smiled and told me these are from Iran.. we had a good coversation on the artisans of Iran and there skills in design & manufacturing.
Some of the designs had an Egyptian Heiroglypics influence I thought and also hints of Aztec..loved the colours and designs..I have found this googled link to learn more on regions, styles, weaves and materials used. Persian Master Knotters by Region
More photos..I have a favourite one too.. Lets hope one day can purchase..
So many gift ideas
Lovely atmosphere in Windsor
I had a lovely afternoon & evening in Windsor yesterday ..such a lovely atmosphere and lovely people met. Chats from art, to trade, to Dexter the Windsor cat, to knee replacements.. then immersed in the most peaceful Evensong in St George's Chapel. So peaceful that all in attendance had difficulty leaving ... thank you Spiritual team & choir... Felt extra comforting with the Royal Standard flying which denotes that our Queen is in residence. I have been feeling more close to Her Majesty through the book I am reading that Joanna Lumley as so beautifully written and complied with people's memories of the Queen over the years. A Queen for All Seasons. How the book was compiled I read a very special chapter on the train journey to Windsor.. Portrait of a Queen.. it was recollections of those artists that have had time with the Queen sitting for their sketches & portraits. Portraits that have become part of our many images of our Queen. That chapter so cleverly put together that was like each sentence a brush stroke, each paragraph a new revelation of our Queen in her personal space. It felt very moving the way her face & expressions changed as she would observe her subjects, we the people going about our daily lives. Her view from the palace window, her wondering & concern on our lives as each passed. One artist capturing this and the light in her face & eyes full of care.
I spoke with one of the castle staff on the book, when I told her what Joanna had said on the This Morning programme...that it was a Bouquet of Memories to present to the Queen on her Platinium Jubilee... She said oh that is beautiful.

Crossing Barriers Global Link Up
🙏💗🤲So proud of Mo'men BSc MSc Nursing
نور في العالم Light in the World
Out of adversity in life it is amazing how life paths cross to Link up as a Global family... 2014 horrendous news reports in Gaza brought a caring soul in my life studying and training to be a nurse. Me, the retired BSc RN RM with a new fledgling starting his career. Mo'men so proud of you giving this lecture on cancer care ...in a conference Together Beating Cancer Crossing Barriers with Medical Aid for Palestine MAP
How amazing we met up on a Social media platform..able to share my experience in Oncology nursing in a Regional Radiotherapy unit, scrubbed for radioactive implants seletron, cathetron & even iridium wires for breast cancer plus chemotherapy then on a professorial gynaecology oncology ward as a senior staff nurse. Plus all my other years nursing & practice as a midwife...
Even more amazing how my Syrian refugees came in my life and was able to link you, Mo'men in to my Family Link Up project.... even able to advise in Eleonas camp Athens with your Arabic to help understanding..yet there in Gaza....A Global Family Link Up ...
So fascinating to see many men in nursing while the women studying medicine, laboratory studies & teaching ..But my father was a male nurse.. one of the first men to go on the UK register as a qualified SRN State Registered Nurse ... he worked with Charnley who pioneered the hip replacement surgery. I am sure my father will be looking down with pride too...
Feeling blessed with all my journey over last 7 years meeting up with courageous people ...traumatised with war, conflict, abuse that rise up to not only rebuild their lives..but also to care & help others too... same with my Syrians ...inspirational people ..lights in the world that show Love Wins....

Sabah ej yasmine
Sabah el yasmine ....just spotted my Jasmine has flowered ....my daughters got this a few years ago for one of my birthdays the perfume is so so sweet and beautiful...
Jasmine is a favourite flower for Syrians... Family Link Up
In India women use Jasmine garlands in their hair to perfume and look so pretty in their sarees ...even if poor in ruppees they enrich themselves with nature around them .. I was fasinated by the flower sellers outside Sai Baba's Ashram at Whitefield Bangalore....how they threaded flowers to make garlands..... they would always give me a rose saying Auntie Auntie take for you.. 🌹🙏🤲💖
Love in action for Richard #FreeNazanin
People power in action driven by love, care & concern for Richard in desperate pain to get the love of his life, his wife Nazinin back from captivity in Iran. The nationwide lobby of MPs brought constituency concerns from all 4 nations of the UK.. I have never seen Westminster Hall so full of MPs.. from all parties.. Tulip Siddiq, Richard's MP secured Westminster Hall for the debate to #FreeNazanin.. this intensified public lobbying action to demand and expect their MP to attend.. MPs that attended were also driven by the love that Richard has for the love of his life, his wife.. the room full of empathy.. but most of how to get effective action to free Nazanin see The Hansard Debate link and can be viewed on Parliamentary TV channel It was poweful that Richard was in attendance. All thanks to the parliamentary staff for facilitating this and helping Tulip.
