She Means Business Zoom Meeting

 This evening joined another zoom meeting with Women Entrepreneurs.  Was a brilliant time of sharing. Women that put together training for building businesses, help support one another and share time to help strengthen their energies.  I felt welcomed in the group and was there for support and networking to help build my Marjorie's Yard and my Family Link Up project with help for Bushra's Art.  

The women were looking at the stress of the pandemic and how to bounce back and rebuild business... We felt we had to be proactive but manage stress as with the pandemic I highlighted we are all on heighten stress levels, so the stress of business building, customer care and team management can be layer up layer on top of the pandemic stress. It was lovely to listen to ways of coping. One lived in Cornwall and loved walks on the beach and riding her horse.  Another from Norway actually missed being in the mountains of Norway. But has they narrated their places to BE it was like they took us all along with this visualisation. I am looking forward to more sharing, joining in and I really need to design a Zoom of my own to invite others too..

Women Together Wednesday Zoom

 

I enjoy the Wednesday afternoon Women Together Zoom group... we have conversations of different depths from deep sharing to fun.. it is so much fun sharing languages and picking up on new ones.  Singing songs together.. In this having some self care time to de-stress... self massage of hands and face, stretching and centring our minds to energise... My House of Lords teddy comes in handy to entertain the toddlers on screen.. lol just like when I skype with the children from my Family Link Up  project.  

This was so apt for me today. 

Started off stressed 

but took one moment at a time 

and had lovely day.

Shelter Webinar

Excellent webinar on London's Housing Emergency conduction in association with Shelter. The webinar discussed facts around homelessness and shared frontline experiences from tenants.  In question time both myself and an architect raised the point in that with the pandemic the city is turning inside out.  Business workers are working from home in the suburbs and surrounding countryside. So we are seeing the potential for office blocks to be turned into apartments. The architect pointed out that they can easily be refurbished for living.  But with a need for government to guarantee 25 % for social housing. I am going to add at this point the need for more reservoirs as the water usage will grossly increase for home dwellings - you only have to think of each apartment having automatic washer, maybe dishwasher, family showering and sanitation and you can see demand will need to be met.
