Eleanor Rathbone Portrait

In parliament today I was early for my APPG meeting on Poverty so had some time in the coffee room... On my way out of the coffee room I spotted this portrait of Eleonor Rathbone and was drawn to this painting. Photography is discouraged in parts of parliament but the duty officer permitted me this and stood with me. He too was intrigued that I had been attracted to this lady, as when I had read about her work she had been an MP for refugees.  I showed the officer my work with the Syrian refugees...and my Family Link Up project.

You can read more about Eleonor Rathbone on the Parliamentary website

and I have found out about her trust fund too.. Worth me trying to see if I can get some funds for Boshra and the girls and Dante and his community.
