Yesterday's trip to Wrest Park was interesting for me as a retired nurse & midwife. We had a history talk from one of the staff in the family house. Apparently Wrest Park was one of the first convalescent hospitals in WW1.. here are some links to read more plus there have been attempts to find the identities of nurses that cared for the wounded.
