yesterday I was sent an Angel to help me. Let me explain I had finished the two cardigans for my Syrian princesses in Belgium but was getting down thinking of the brexit issue of posting them and with cost of living not enough to travel to Belgium to take them and visit. I had put my concern on my facebook. Then I found a message from my friend Margarite that she was traveling to France to join another friend Sophie on a workshop there. She would take them and post them from France to Belgium. Oh the joy of this as it used to be for us before brexit when we could post as part of EU with no problems and them get the gifts within 3-4 days. So Margarite said she was going to Saatchi Gallery near Sloane Square to take her Ukrainian friend to see the Ukraine Folk Art exhibition there. I could meet her and give the cardigans for her to pack in her luggage as she travelled to France the next day ..today as I write this post. Wowee was it not only a solution but we had a great time together looking at the artwork.. loving the colours and the story behind each study on display. Some of the artwork is suspended as the artist painted on both sides of the paper so they have displayed with both side on view. I am going to visit again as I am intrigued by the story of the artist and her work. Plus all this time living in London had not been to this gallery. Yet spent time in and near Sloane Square over the years. Its a lovely place to meet up with lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. I have made Juliya my Ukraine friend aware of this exhibition too. So an uplifting Monday and one of coming together to problem solve.
