This story in Dual language French and English is good too as it as story round Diwali.... like the idea of Deepak's friend Tim helping out with some sparklers from bonfire night for the fireworks display... The demon king Ravana scary with ten heads but when you think that is symbolic of the different facets of our ego that causes pain and darkness in the world... Maybe I read this from my time in Ashrams in India and times in Temples here in the UK with our Indian community... but someone new to the story I think would still find it fascinating and for the kids the sweets for the feast will appeal... love the recipes at the end of the book and the art work explained of Rangoli... this are mega brilliant for schools to ensure understanding of one another.....
Dual language books available from Mantra Lingua and there is a huge selection of multi cultural stories.
