Sat watching Nigel Slater on TV on his first on three series looking at food in the Middle East. Tonight he is in Lebanon... so fascinating. Mymoune is a company that has stood out for me with the wonderful way they blend fruits with flowers and herbs.. Love the idea of strawberry and rose petals preserve. But what has struck me is the principle to the products - That of making food products people wish to spend time with. This is coming over very strongly in the programme, that with the array of flavours it is food to sit and enjoy not rush.. I like what Nigel has said you want to talk but cannot as you are just so enamoured by the taste and form of the foods.
"At the foot of Lebanon’s Mount Sannine
rests the picturesque village of Ain El Kabou.
This is where we harvest our all-natural specialties, such as jams, preserves,
seasonings, flower waters, and other products made with love, the traditional
Lebanese way.
The lushness of the Lebanese soil,
paired with the cooperative mediterranean
weather, bears exceptional fruits rich in colour and flavour. All of our
ingredients are handpicked and individually selected for the best possible
taste – a process which has earned Mymoune a
reputation of unparalleled quality over the years."
For us in the UK there is a stockist that we can order the products from
