Royal Wedding

Been so busy since my last post on this blog.... and what a wonderful Saturday I had just got totally enthralled by the Royal Wedding... I was glued to the telly it was so enchanting and moved you along a wonderful magical day of love. It is so obvious that our Harry is so in love with Meghan and she with him too.... I feel a breath of fresh air in the royal family and look forward to the capacity of good charity work this couple can do, most of all make change for the welfare of all and empower women. I know it cost a lot the wedding but Windsor businesses are reporting a good profit from the influx of the thousands of people coming to watch along the route of the procession. Travel into UK visas and the airport will have brought in tax revenue. The local hotels and restaurants and bars mega busy. The worlds press around too made it manic in the town.  I love Windsor but was not able to go as no funds to go... ironically. I used to love driving to Windsor and visiting the Farm Shop behind the castle.... But I believe that that day the guests were using that space for parking and arrival.
When I saw Meghan or as she is titled now Duchess of Sussex I recognised the tiara... from my history books remembered seeing photos of Queen Mary with this tiara... When I googled to learn more found this good report from Vogue Vogue - History of Meghan's tiara
Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara is made of diamonds and platinum, in 11 sections with interlaced ovals. The centerpiece is detachable, and the rest of the tiara was actually made specifically for that center brooch, which was given to the then-Princess Mary for her wedding to Prince George. Later, the bandeau and brooch were both given to Queen Elizabeth in 1953.
I felt that Prince Charles was so caring that day for Meghan and her mother he seemed to spontaneously and with his heart guide them and take Meghan's mother under his wing... but it did seem sad to see her sat on her own - maybe this was needed for her to take all in as it is a quite a shift in life for her.
Lisa Cole on facebook posted this photo with the message - Can we just take a moment to honor this beautiful, strong woman (Meghan Markle’s Mother, Doria Ragland) who sat alone, wistfully alone, a million miles from home -in a situation so foreign to her own life- with grace, dignity, poise, honor and deep love for the child she raised? THAT, is royalty.
She is smiling in that photo I believe when the Hot spicy Rev preacher was speaking - ohh I love Rev Curry and his sermon... it was a message for all the world and he had the platform to get this message across..  The transcript of his sermon is in many publications... found it here in the Town & Country

Love is the only way. There's power in love. Don't underestimate it. Don't even over sentimentalize it. There's power, power in love. If you don't believe me, think about a time when you first fell in love. The whole world seemed to center around you and your beloved. Well, there's power, power in love, not just in its romantic forms, but any form, any shape of love.
I enjoyed looking at all the outfits but you know Princess Anne looked nice in her coat dress... some have said it looked like a dressing gown... I see what they mean but for me it did look a good design and it looked neat and easy to wear... but then I suppose many of the dressing gown critics would say there you have reinforced our idea of it.
There is extensive reports in Hello Magazine for all the photos including the official ones... Hello Magazine Royal Wedding
and here is the new website for the Duchess of Sussex up and running on Monday Official Royal website - Duchess of Sussex
