Since my illness I am thinking that there should be discretionary award of state pension to those 60 yrs and over both men and women rather than pestering for JSA and work capability assessments... For goodness sake we have all paid in nera on half a century tax to the country and system. Yet on the 14th Dec 2017 debate one Tory backbencher had the cheek to say our contributions are a mathematical illusion... our pay slips did not have it as a mathematical illusion it was clearly there listed in deductions from our pay!! He also said we would be a burden on the future generations... we have to remind him we birthed the future generations... so it a really sore point to women born in 1950s to be denied their State Pension at the expected age of 60yrs.. My first job was in 1969 as a office junior and I paid tax on my wage and in them days you put a stamp on a card for your NI contributions. Criminal that the elderly are treated like this by a very uncaring government that really has no idea how to house keep.. Look how my poverty has cost the NHS in hospital admission for overwhelming chest infection that my immune system could not cope with because of vitamin deficiency...
