The Table Dresser - met Alison Taylor yesterday

Love this idea for a successful business venture - Yesterday I met Alison Taylor the founder The Table Dresser..... she was with us for the WASPI march outside parliament. Many of us are finding innovative ways to earn while denied our state pension.  But Alison has an amazing career background in fashion & textiles, she has managed her own label selling designs internationally. Alison is a lecturer and writer... but it is her love for vintage china and embroidery that has led to the development of The Table Dresser...Read more on her story
The business is brilliant for putting together themed events from Weddings to parties to high teas... all to create the right ambience for the customers needs.
I am loving the idea and the vintage tea pots, cups and saucers... the table layouts are so lovingly put together to be pleasing to the eye and create some interest in themselves... My mother would have been in ecstasy with all these china goodies... she too would love collecting beautiful teapots, cups and saucers.  Shame I have lost her collection over the years. The cake stands always add an extra touch of tea room elegance.  Reminds me of trips to the tea rooms up in Yorkshire when I lived up North.
