European Anti Poverty Network

Brilliant zoom conference today. Excellent time of sharing on the theme of Policy making - Adequate minimum income protection the backbone of a truly Social Europe.  European Anti-Poverty Network  I will load the recording when available. The meeting recognised the multiple problems we are all facing post pandemic and geopolitical issues.

Good panel of speakers and here is the link to the Belgium Report on Cost of living

La Banque Nationale - missions & strategies

Some screen captures and you can get involved to help all have living dignity.

Wish I could be part of this dynamic team ..but in a way was today be it in zoom attendance participation. Was good to have my comments and questions acknowledged and valued in the chat... Was able to ref: Kate Raworth Doughnut model of economics and Guy Standing Precariats...as I point out we need a new model to prevent poverty ..facilitate living dignity for all. I further point out the need to address our status as precariats in zero hour contracts and short term contacts...This creates problems when a present economy relies on predictable earnings. Earnings that match living costs.

Climate Change Education

Just spotted this in my email hour before the meeting ..

🌍🙏🏥👩‍💻yes managed to IT problem solve and join the webinar ..but missed the PowerPoint presentation..we are assured a recording will be sent ...

So important the Health Impact of Climate Change is integrated on not only medical curriculum but nursing & midwifery too ... we need to exert pressure on governments to act to protect populations and care for citizens and this amazing life supporting planet home..

Life supporting is key ..at the moment it is like someone standing on Earth life support machine tubes, turning off support slowly by our stupidity...homo Stupidus needs to wise up .. to be truly Sapiens..

A reminder of the Health Impact of Climate Change

Tuesday in London

❤💜💛💚💙 Tuesday

Lovely afternoon and evening in London .. called round to parliament to check on our status as interested public to attend APPGs All Party Parliamentary Groups and committee meetings .. told yes all systems go .. so i can attend as before pandemic. Note public can contribute to discussions, questions and comments in APPG meetings but in committee meetings can only listen and take notes. Had time outside Downing Street talking with an American tourist. Was remembering when the public were permitted on Downing street with full view of no 10.. I came with my parents as a little girl and stood outside 10 Downing street. Harold Wilson the PM then my Mother's favourite... then up to Trafalgar square for our monthly Anglo/Belgian Society meeting... passed this beautiful peony in a floral display that was being delivered to a Whitehall venue...lol I can't load direct from my dinosaur phone so a photo of a photo loaded now from my tip tap tablet. The meeting was well attended some really interesting people we had a laugh too. Heel goed, très bien ... well chuft with the evening.. 😍🤩
