Sunday visit Rural Activities Garden Centre

👩‍🌾perfect Sunday ...enjoyed a visit today to the Rural Activities Garden Centre run by Hillingdon Council to help adults with special needs ..a therapeutic place for all the community to enjoy. The tea rooms are closed due to lack of finance and there has been a petition to reopen the tea rooms. We can while this matter sorted bring picnics and use the seated tables in the garden. An oasis of peace near a busy road.  Good car parking and local buses have a stop round the corner.  But got ideas...
As I wandered round could not help thinking the King and Prince William now Prince of Wales and guardian of the Prince's trust would surely be pleased to help with ideas and funding. Outside companies and local supermarkets could help regenerate the Tea rooms and have local products to sell . The grounds have decent size sheds that could also develop the Repair shop project for local craftsmen.. So much potential with a dynamic project manager...

Love the hens and they are productive workers lol  laying fresh eggs ...

There is a rather colourful handsome Golden peasant that wooes his harem of females while canaries sing love songs ...💞😍🤩😊

Bought a couple of shrubs to restock my garden with a focus on beautifying the front garden ..so looking forward to the new fuschia blooming got fascinating colour combination.

Our Moral Compass

Two war criminals kiss and shake hands in front of the world and in that instance the world lost its moral compass ..
We cannot rest until the victims get justice for lost loved ones, lost dreams, lost futures, lost homes, lost hospitals and all that made their community whole
We cannot forget the injuries and how surgeons helping injured became targets, we cannot forget how citizens were starved of food and freedom, we cannot forget the intentional block on humantarian aid, we cannot forget the displaced still ongoing victims of war tantrums. We cannot go on like this with deluded power egos having war tantrums in their fear of losing their power and freedom and corrupted gathering of wealth.
What wealth when we lose the most precious jewel in this universe our Mother Earth and her beauty her ability to support all life on Earth. As attention shifts to Japan and memories of man's foulest weapon used .. we will not need atomic destruction our continued stupidity will lead to the ultimate destruction of our one and only life support system , the one planet home we all share. Time is running out ...
Have a great day while you can but never rest till we have sane leaders mature in the Wisdom of Peace and care for all with no destructive decision making..

Parliament meeting Digital Currency

Interesting evening but I need to study more on digital currency to see if will enhance our lives and give us financial living dignity.  Look at the age old Public entrance sign to committee rooms. It is a people's parliament where we can get our voices heard ..not only through our elected MPs but direct in meetings. We can influence policies even help create new policies on an issue of concern.

Westminister hall had the Speakers coach on display... but was OTT in decor not really pulled to this sort of lavishness..

Ageing Research Brunel University

Absolutely brilliant day yesterday at Brunel University on an Ageing Research day. My first ever time on this day but seems been going for awhile as I met local elderly residents that have been taking part in research for some time now. There is a research group BORG Brunel Older Research Group of which many are members.  After yesterday's experience I too have joined. B.O.R.G. The day showed how young and old can come together to learn and share together! The day was driven by care and compassion for the older years of our lives. Even though there was scientific input that input did not seem sterile, distant and far removed from the emotional and human to human need for empathetic support. The science and the innovative tools were designed from that care compassion and empathy. With the desire to understand more on ageing there was a desire to improve and strengthen the vulnerable years of all our lives. There can be ways to improve those years and lessen the severity or indeed prevent decline that causes pain in our bodies and minds.  There was an emphasis on loneliness and ways to support in more social interaction.  Even the idea of a Robot companion which I am still not very sure of!! There were ways to rehabilitate after stroke and other illnesses that may weaken our ability to move our joints and muscles and our minds and our nervous system. I had my first experience of using VT virtual reality and was fascinating though somewhat worrying for those watching that may not understand you pressing on unseen buttons in the air and grasping cubes that are not really there.  hhhhh this amused me so much but crikey we are moving more and more to as sort of pseudo Star Trek with technological inventions!  Here are a selection of photos from the day. Including me in VT mode hhhh
