Tuesday was quite a busy day for me .. Had a breakfast start meeting at Brunel University for update on the research into Drug control of aggitation in care of Alzheimer patients. Plus a look at social and complementary therapies use instead of drugs.. We had input from Sheffield University, Exeter University & Kings College ..with feedback from nursing homes visited .
Our meeting was attended by our Brunel Older Reference Group lay advisors, doctors, carers, psychiatric nurses and specialist in palliative & hospice care. So the morning was a rich time of sharing .. We were well looked after by the University catering staff for Breakfast and a buffet lunch ..so thanks to all ..
Was lovely to see in the presentation slides acknowledgement of our retirees lay advisors .. makes us feel of value and great to be among academics..
After the meeting thanks to U4 bus to Hayes Station and Elizabeth line was to hot foot to an important meeting in Westminster... with my Grandson Sam ... we had coffee and cakes in the Jubilee cafe and time in the central lobby, House of Lords and in the shop.. His Christmas present sorted. The staff as always taking care of me and welcoming my grandson on his first visit to parliament..Was a brilliant time together.
