☔Lovely flower shop at Wimbledon station last night on the way for the WASPI meeting.... was good to meet up with the other 1950s babies struggling to get their state pension..... We all looked life knackered yet we are being told to work work work even though many of us have worked since 1979 some after graduation in 1980s we have brought kids up and some looked after and are still trying to look after elderly parents...... yet this government insists we cannot get our state pension till we are 66yrs - I have 3 years and the way I feel I ain't going to make it to then ... the more and more I slip into poverty from that rogue leaving me with nothing...and the pathetic support from the DWP..... I apply for jobs but no short listing like in my youth. We are discouraged from voluntary work as we are told we must earn!! Yet paid in nearly half century tax to Queen and country!! We got over 100,000 signatures for a debate and a date was to be arranged for mid December BUT THE TORY BACKBENCHERS ARE REFUSING TO SIGN UP FOR THE DEBATE........what a slap in the face for GRANS MUMS SISTERS AUNTS born in 1950s BUT what a shot in their foot too as A VOTE LOSER IN ANY ELECTION NOW ... and given that the most signatures of concern for the debate came from presently Tory held areas they should RETHINK the political foolishness of this !!
