💗No matter how much we get hurt by others LOVE WINS love & beauty in creation can never be destroyed.....The trick is to immerse in the True Love of All so that you do not hurt at all... but be in pure Divine bliss...

Youth

Quiet mood....

And suddenly you discover that you don't want to be the best in the world, all you want is to sit quiet mind moderate mood, don't care about anything, and satisfaction about everything

وتكتشف فجأة أنك لاتريد أن تكون الأفضل في العالم، كل ماتريده هو أن تجلس هادئ البال معتدل المزاج ،لاتأبه لأي شيء ،وراضٍ عن كل شي

Sacred Hug

Page Liked · 15 April 2018Edited
The average length of a hug between two people is 3 seconds. But the researchers have discovered something fantastic. When a hug lasts 20 seconds, there is a therapeutic effect on the body and mind. The reason is that a sincere embrace produces a hormone called "oxytocin", also known as the love hormone. This substance has many benefits in our physical and mental health, helps us, among other things, to relax, to feel safe and calm our fears and anxiety. This wonderful tranquilizer is offered free of charge every time we have a person in our arms, who cradled a child, who cherish a dog or a cat, that we are dancing with our partner, the closer we get to someone or simply hold the Shoulders of a friend.

A famous quote by psychotherapist Virginia Satir goes, “We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth.” Whether those exact numbers have been scientifically proven remains to be seen, but there is a great deal of scientific evidence related to the importance of hugs and physical contact. Here are some reasons why we should hug::

1. STIMULATES OXYTOCIN

Oxytocin is a neurotransmitter that acts on the limbic system, the brain’s emotional centre, promoting feelings of contentment, reducing anxiety and stress, and even making mammals monogamous. It is the hormone responsible for us all being here today. You see this little gem is released during childbirth, making our mothers forget about all of the excruciating pain they endured expelling us from their bodies and making them want to still love and spend time with us. New research from the University of California suggests that it has a similarly civilising effect on human males, making them more affectionate and better at forming relationships and social bonding. And it dramatically increased the libido and sexual performance of test subjects. When we hug someone, oxytocin is released into our bodies by our pituitary gland, lowering both our heart rates and our cortisol levels. Cortisol is the hormone responsible for stress, high blood pressure, and heart disease.

2. CULTIVATES PATIENCE

Connections are fostered when people take the time to appreciate and acknowledge one another. A hug is one of the easiest ways to show appreciation and acknowledgement of another person. The world is a busy, hustle-bustle place and we’re constantly rushing to the next task. By slowing down and taking a moment to offer sincere hugs throughout the day, we’re benefiting ourselves, others, and cultivating better patience within ourselves.

3. PREVENTS DISEASE

Affection also has a direct response on the reduction of stress which prevents many diseases. The Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami School of Medicine says it has carried out more than 100 studies into touch and found evidence of significant effects, including faster growth in premature babies, reduced pain, decreased autoimmune disease symptoms, lowered glucose levels in children with diabetes, and improved immune systems in people with cancer.

4. STIMULATES THYMUS GLAND

Hugs strengthen the immune system. The gentle pressure on the sternum and the emotional charge this creates activates the Solar Plexus Chakra. This stimulates the thymus gland, which regulates and balances the body’s production of white blood cells, which keep you healthy and disease free.

5. COMMUNICATION WITHOUT SAYING A WORD

Almost 70 percent of communication is nonverbal. The interpretation of body language can be based on a single gesture and hugging is an excellent method of expressing yourself nonverbally to another human being or animal. Not only can they feel the love and care in your embrace, but they can actually be receptive enough to pay it forward to others based on your initiative alone.

6. SELF-ESTEEM

Hugging boosts self-esteem, especially in children. The tactile sense is all-important in infants. A baby recognizes its parents initially by touch. From the time we’re born our family’s touch shows us that we’re loved and special. The associations of self-worth and tactile sensations from our early years are still imbedded in our nervous system as adults. The cuddles we received from our Mom and Dad while growing up remain imprinted at a cellular level, and hugs remind us at a somatic level of that. Hugs, therefore, connect us to our ability to self love.

7. STIMULATES DOPAMINE

Everything everyone does involves protecting and triggering dopamine flow. Low dopamine levels play a role in the neurodegenerative disease Parkinson’s as well as mood disorders such as depression. Dopamine is responsible for giving us that feel-good feeling, and it’s also responsible for motivation! Hugs stimulate brains to release dopamine, the pleasure hormone. Dopamine sensors are the areas that many stimulating drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine target. The presence of a certain kinds of dopamine receptors are also associated with sensation-seeking.

8. STIMULATES SEROTONIN

Reaching out and hugging releases endorphins and serotonin into the blood vessels and the released endorphins and serotonin cause pleasure and negate pain and sadness and decrease the chances of getting heart problems, helps fight excess weight and prolongs life. Even the cuddling of pets has a soothing effect that reduces the stress levels. Hugging for an extended time lifts one’s serotonin levels, elevating mood and creating happiness.

9. PARASYMPATHETIC BALANCE

Hugs balance out the nervous system. The skin contains a network of tiny, egg-shaped pressure centres called Pacinian corpuscles that can sense touch and which are in contact with the brain through the vagus nerve. The galvanic skin response of someone receiving and giving a hug shows a change in skin conductance. The effect in moisture and electricity in the skin suggests a more balanced state in the nervous system – parasympathetic.
Embrace, embrace with your heart.~~

Girls love Colour Power

Artist link up reaches Belgium
Leen loves the Colour Power of this artwork
and Boshra will be taking work to the Kunst Academie
for students and teachers to appreciate too.
Family Link Up
Remember that brilliant afternoon at the Kensington Town Hall Parallex Art Fair  My first impact was with Mauricio's work in the opening stand. The blast of colour shape and form caught my eye immediately so much so I bought some work to send to Boshra in my Family Link Up project as I know she will feel the energy and passion for art through his work .. She will be able to show the work at the Kunst Academie and will be able to discuss technique and colour with the students and in her portfolio of critique.. Amidst the colour is the face with those eyes to explore feeling and thoughts that they convey.. So a lot to be gained  from this study.

Good networking to raise awareness of my project to help Boshra too..and loved meeting the artists. Lets hope Boshra will have a stand one day at this Parallex Art fair to mix with all the talented international artists.

Art Appeal

•⊰Art Materials Fund•⊰
Yesterday was a day for delivery - I received my order for the wooden portable easel case for Boshra to use from Family Link Up. This was a good bargain from Cowling & Wilcox... but I now have to post this on to Boshra in Belgium and have not enough funds till my next State Pension pay on the 16th November or if some Earth Angel gives me some donation of funds. Do note I do try to get grants but the issue is I fall in clefts of eligibility with me being in UK and the Syrian Family I befriend being in Belgium.. But they are my life so I will find a way somehow... My arthritic knees and ageing body make it difficult for me to think about working long shifts like I used to do when in clinical practice. But I am always open to some teaching and giving talks and lectures.

Boshra received the art materials I posted last week and is grateful for this help. She also loved the artwork I purchased from the Art Fair in Kensington. I wanted her to feel the energy from a very good artist and to see that she too could produce some mounted prints for sale of her work.... They are good money spinners while larger canvas work is sold.  We have to get our marketing heads together.

Problem rain

Sharing a post from one of my facebook friends Melinda

Sometimes the rain falls at the most inopportune times. Then we get about the business of noticing how clean everything smells, how the sound of the rain makes it’s own sweet concerto as dark rain clouds form art sculptures in the sky. A rainbow suddenly appears over the old oak bridge as woodland creatures stick their little heads out to peer at you.
Yes the rain does fall, like problems that seem to plague you daily...But if you look real careful some of theses problems are clearing old business out of your way. They may even bring you new opportunities and a new perspective on life...Following some earth shattering problems at times, comes impeccable wisdom and clarity.

All days, things, people, incidents and world happenings may carry with them answers to age old problems and even blessings of sorts. Let us train our eyes to be on the look out for these lessons in life both great and small! You are loved!

Reflections of War & Silence

Silence and War.... some words from Sunday
The past 24 hours have been strange, painful, heart wrenching mind worrying, pensive time with dizziness despair amidst a quiet day of tidying the garden, making dinner for myself, learning Dutch and a neighbours grand daughter calling in. So why is it strange you ask... my mind has been full of the woes of war and what it means to have no contact with loved ones, people you care about and worry about when you know they are in adverse situations.
Of course I watched the "For Sama" film last night, that hung in my head and heart all day, then there was a TV drama "Burning world" set in Nazi WW2 .. it has made me think of women left behind in the days of men going to battle. Thought about my mum how much she would have worried for her first husband - in those days no text or messenger or social media just tuning in to BBC radio for news updates or coded messages, looking for letters but fearing telegrams... telegrams were not good news but of losses...It was not easy for mum too as the airstrikes were targeted up North close to where she lived by the Nazis as we had ammunition factories there... so it must have been a worry for her husband too if she and my brother was ok..... For mum she had some comfort and reassurance as her husband was batman for Montgomery so if that General was reported alive and well - her husband would be also. She had little time with her husband after he survived and returned from war as he died of cancer. Then my father came along in her life and married my mother and then I entered the world..... But I would grow up with my step brother away on National Service... and seeing my mother looking for airmail letters from him and worrying if no communication. When home on leave she would say to him "please I do not expect a long letter from you but just a letter with the words - I am ok mum don't worry was enough!"... Mothers, wives, lovers, close friends had to be strong when fellas were away in the days before text, social media, whats app..But even in the now of social media there can be breaks in connection or blocking or muted accounts so some loved one or someone you care about can not be contacted to be assured they are ok or for a social chat.... Then I am reflecting on older days and ancient times when men would be away for months and years.. with little messages coming back home - it is no wonder many a tapestry was made with focused time to help aid the torment of a loved one out of contact...
In among this torment and inner turmoil there can be a spiritual connection, a sense of knowing, a feeling that souls are connecting....but that is the message that keeps being brought to us in our Earthly form... we are all connected by the Universal law of being part of a Greater Energy that created us all...
So let us all pulsate love care and compassion through that energy connection then there will be no wars..!

Art link up at the Parallex Art Fair Kensington

Yesterday I had a brilliant afternoon at the Kensington Town Hall Parallex Art Fair
"Parallax ‘Art’ Fair is the most important fair of its kind in London today. It is family-owned and not run by a portfolio-corporate firm. It is also managed by artists and designers."
It was inspirational to see the artwork but also great to engage with the artists to discuss their work, styles, techniques and mediums for the effects they created. Here are a selection of works and artists to share with you readers and followers. My first impact was with Mauricio's work in the opening stand and my opening photo...The blast of colour shape and form caught my eye immediately so much so I bought some work to send to Boshra in my Family Link Up project as I know she will feel the energy and passion for art through his work .. so will show what I bought in my next blog post so patience wait ...wait... wait..

Now below is a selection of work by Tamor Kriwaczek his brush stroke dabs are powerful applications of his medium which creates interesting affects.  The collision of blues in the Clouds study below gives an intriguing affect of almost looking like material with stitching ... I loved this one as it really absorbed you into the piece to explore the collision and chaos of clouds, colour. patterns and forms.. We talked sometime and I can see what he does he focuses on fine details and pow...! -brings those details into mega focus on his canvas...
"The clouds dive and dance amongst themselves as the light fades catching only wisps that bend the light."— Tamor Kriwaczek

Barry Laden artist Barry was very energising to talk with - I was listening to his conversation with a couple of women from Egypt on his work and this brought me into his stand. The artwork is energising with a fascinating play with colours. Some of the designs would be brilliant for fabric prints to inject playful colours into a room decor... Barry did me good to be about his energy and his business knowledge too...He clearly connects with people as well as his art canvas.. bringing colour and vibrant spirit out of the people he meets.. We had a joyful time together.
Renata was showing me the sparkle in her artwork. The technique pouring acrylics that Boshra also likes to to.  Whilst the medium is wet she can move the mix of colours around the canvass and using a straw blow the medium to create waves and pathways that your eyes are drawn into to follow.

I really connected with Perla her work is strong bold angular and love the techniques for sharing her work on T-shirts... She took an interest in my Family Link Up project and Boshra's art. We hope to meet up for coffee soon to talk more.
Mary has a mix of studies but all with a boldness and confident stroke to create images from street life to still life...She comes from a family of artists so absorbed in art and finding detail around her to paint and share.  I like her style - like her marketing style of promoting her art and presence at the Parallax Art Fair...
 Florida Tram goes on show
I have shared my photos of the day with Boshra to keep her spirits high with what can be achieved through Art. I have learnt about marketing techniques from the day to help me to help her build her life through art...... so a very good afternoon spent at the Exhibition. Love meeting creative people.

The fiver appeal for Art Materials

High Five!
While I was in the bank today was thinking how I could excite more donations for Boshra's Art Materials and made me think further that the minimum donation on the gofundme page is £5... That may be an easier amount for some supporters to give... and the fivers soon mount up with lots of people donating... So I am launching a Fiver Appeal for Art Materials... What do you think followers..? Of course if you can spare more than this will be wonderful tooooo!  Boshra is looking through the online Cowling & Wilcox art supplies as there are some good sale bargains to augment donations yield on materials.

Artists & Illustrators

I had to go into WH Smiths today in Uxbridge as they have the post office there and I had a parcel to send to Belgium. As I was passing the magazines I spotted the Artists & Illustrators Magazine so picked up a copy to read and look for bargain art materials for Boshra in my Family Link Up project. Look I must have had to pick this up wow on p.16 there is work by a Syrian artist Sara Shamma who discusses and describes her technique.. They have featured a study called Hiding in Plain Sight.  I am so glad I have got this magazine and have been showing Boshra it gives her an extra boost of energy to help her succeed with her art work and study too!
Sara's Work will be on display at the
Modern Slavery Exhibition until 22nd November at the Arcade  Bush House King's College London WC2

Trees to a special princess

My Family Link Up families have got to know the news of Gabriella being back in the UK with her father Richard.  Boshra and me have been thinking what to send to Gabriella to send our love - so we thought about a copy of the Tree book that Leen and Celine love reading and looking at.  If you remember from my recent visit to Belgium Leen and me got a lot from that book as it looks at the seasons and the changes in the trees. We had a walk in the park and collected leaves and studied the leaves.. we were able to draw them and use as an educational tool for biology and also language learning... English Dutch & Arabic vocabulary....  So this copy of the book is on its way to parliament for Richard's MP to forward to him and Gabriella.

Halloween treat on the way

Managed to get the Halloween dance outfits posted to Belgium for my Family Link Up - Halloween Dance The outfits from Sainsburys and I wrapped the parcel up in one of their Orange bags so looks like a pumpkin on the way :-) I picked up a set of 3 autumn tops for the girls too.. and there are some Caburys chocolate treats in too... I know... I know they are in Belgium surrounded by yummy chocolate... but they also like the Caburys too... in fact Leen & Celine like all chocolate..
