Help with Petition

My petition for a special platform of support for women victims of domestic violence has been rejected but it is not all is negative.  The petitions committee are amazingly supporting in that they have allocated me a helper to get the wording more clear to acceptance.

DWP to have a special platform of support for women victims of domestic violence

There is a fundamental need for a victim to have a strong support system to heal, detox from abuse and restore her confidence as she rebuilds her broken life. To have system that batters her with drops of support is abusive in itself & a gross failure of the state duty of care upon her safety.

DWP should have alerts on files of victims of domestic violence. There needs to be an overlap of care and support as she re-enters the job market when her confidence is rebuilding-there must not be a sudden withdrawal of support. Constant battering by a poor system also tethers her to the past so she feels she can never escape from the pain of her abuse. Support well and when she is through the pain, healing and challenge any company will have one strong lady in their team to achieve goals.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you mean by "a special platform of support". The Government already has policies to support victims of domestic abuse who are jobseekers - for example, they may be able to get a break of up to 13 weeks from job seeking.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do to support victims of domestic violence.
This is an interesting point raised on the 13 weeks break for job seeking... it implies that there is a quick recovery from domestic abuse.  As if to get out is the end of the problem and the effect on your life.  But I can say this is not the case... it can take years to recover from the post-tramatic stress. All are scarred for life mentally, emotionally, socially and some physically.  It is not that we are lazy and do not want to work... far from it many of us need to regain financial dignity that has been robbed from us by our perpetrator... But the subject of being tormented and abused mentally and physically is not that easy to move away from.  This is the point of the need to have a strong platform of support as the constant failing of the support makes you feel like you are on elastic... That you can feel you are getting your life back and then the support drops and you are twanged back to the pain and the  memories again..... This is why I am very concerned as letters of failed support is like a constant bureaucratic battering and these letters are dangerous they could result in the loss of a woman's life.  She could commit suicide in her post traumatic stress depression.
So grateful for the parliamentary petitions team to help me with a new format petition to raise the dangers of a failed system.  This is extra pressing in the light of welfare cuts.....

I am reminded of a case I nursed in A/E of a woman brought in with a door handle that had penetrated her neck ... this was from the force of her perpetrator pushing her against the door.  The penetration just narrowly missed the carotid artery..... you can imagine this woman needs long term support to help her get through the pain of this. The journey of healing and the rebuilding her life needs our support and I am sure many taxpayers would want her to have a good golden financial bridge of support to get her to her new life in safety.

With good support any company or organisation will have one amazingly strong lady to help them achieve their goals.
