Maple Leaf Symbol

Statement by the Prime Minister of Canada on National Flag of Canada Day
“Few national symbols are as iconic as the maple leaf. Beavers and canoes may be just as enduring, but only the maple leaf has come to represent unity, hope, generosity, openness, and respect – and the nation and its people who live up to those values every day. It is fitting that this cherished symbol is at the heart of Canada’s flag."
Love this extract from today's statement by Justin Trudeau on the National Flag day.

The country as evolved through many difficult historical happenings but the point is that it has evolved in a very liberal way... and when there are fundamental keys that hold the country together of
Unity
Hope
Generosity
Openness
and with this
Respect....

Then you cannot help but respect this leader and the citizens of the country that are adhering to those fundamental keys....

It is strange quite independently of this facebook news feed find .... Yesterday I passed Canada House in Trafalgar square and was thinking why was the Maple Leaf chosen for the Canadian Flag.....

Found this wonderful photo and the colours are intense in the autumn time... and the maple syrup is good too...
