Been on a mission today... handy to be in London with my freedom pass.. lol and so wish I could be in paid post with UNHCR as enjoying all the problem solving of refugee families. So impressed with kindness of the Police guards at the Turkish Embassy and the receptionist ... but then had to go to the Consulate in Knightsbridge... Kind advisor ... So the mission continues to problem solve some issues and had a nice walk through Hyde Park to get my thoughts in gear..... and relax..... seeing the birds and their freedom to fly and simply Be cannot help thinking us Homo Sapiens are rather dumb with our supposed Intelligent thinking brain.... we cause a lot of problems for ourselves......... when no need.... !!
Sent another email to the Turkish Ambassador and the teams... and was remembering the first time I ever visited Turkey in Jan 1991... I stayed with a friend in Ankara that was on a short term contract with the UN. While Irene was out at work I would get up to all sorts of adventures. We had an apartment near one of the Ministers of the day with his guards outside. I used to get called in the office with the Chief of Police for coffee and to practice his English.... I fear there is a Chief of Police that speaks Yorkshire now hhhhhh
