Boris Empty Seat

Boris Johnson failed to turn up at a local hustings last night.  I went along to the hustings in the Yiewsley Baptist Church.  Boris failed to turn up to his job interview so how can he be selected?  Could the Foreign Secretary lose his seat? The locals were none too impressed.  You see the locals vote for local MPs that work for them and see and feel their problems.  Sir John Randall the previous MP was a local man and would work hard for the local community.  His surgeries were open and he would stay till the last person seen.  Boris in contrast as had appointment surgeries and is difficult to see.  The novelty of getting the previous Mayor of London in a local seat may have worn off now.   When locals asked "Have you seen Boris?" answer No when asked has Boris done anything for you the answer No...

Sir John Randall would team up with John McDonnell MP for Hayes & Harlington on problems in the borough of hillingdon and we simply have not seen this with Boris.... There was always mutual respect instead Boris has been digging at John McDonnell so not a happy feel in the borough.  A wealthy borough yet with increasing poverty... yes wealthy to the north of the borough and lots of property developers but grassroots folk feeling every pinch of the Tory politically induced austerity.  Churches and Salvation Army in Uxbridge and surrounding wards have seen a sharp rise in the need for foodbanks and charity support in failed badly written DWP policies. Kids turning up at school hungry yet Tories plan to take away school meals.. Elderly struggling with some not getting state pension in shift in retirement age. Some on three good meals a week not a day. Not a happy state of affairs and we need MPs that listen and work for the many not the few elites.
He missed a good evening of sharing with the other candidates.  All candidates presented good cases and answered questions well.. Labour candidate stood out as strong dynamic well read and caring with passion for the locals and local issues as a local himself...

I shared my story of being a DV victim and how women are being let down with cutbacks in CPS and the DWP failing to support on the long road to recovery and rebuilding lives in all the psycho-social aftermath.  That women's lives could be lost as she either turns back to perpetrator and next beating be murder or she commits suicide in depression as feels the system is battering her and criminalising her for needing help. Help she and other taxpayers but into a system to support those in need at times of need.   The audience and all candidates pledged support for my call for a better deal for women...with stronger support to rebuild their lives! They found it unacceptable that I as a 63yrs DV victim should have been presented with an eviction notice from the local Tory led council yes 63yrs old woman to be evicted from an OAP sheltered bungalow.  A society without compassion ceases to be a society....

Local Conservatives sent a short message to say Boris was at a prior engagement. So not very impressive... Locals feel snubbed and not important!!
