Brilliant Family day Hayes Business Park

My day took a very interesting and fun format... Heard some music through the woodland opposite my home.. and just had to investigate... so followed the music to the Hayes Business Park round the corner from me. I often walk through this park to the horses and as an alternative pleasant walk to Uxbridge Road.... So followed the music and the laughter...Wowee was this a brilliant run Family Day for the companies....Today must have been a family day for many companies as my eldest daughter had shared some photos of her company day from work... including a selfie with a Llama...lol
So today amid all the political craziness in the UK there as been a sense of fun sharing and simply enjoying time together with colleagues and children and grand parents... I am so impressed by the The Hang Out event organisers they had good music and had put together interactive stations for the kids and the parents including chill out areas too. There was Candy floss, crepes, non alcoholic cocktails and burgers... AND something I have never seen before Pan-n-ice ice cream rolls made with a flavour of your choice.  I talked to some lovely people one business man took a real interest in my Family Link Up project so hope I can get some support and direction on how to maximise my project goals of rebuilding lives.

Gran knee physio group today

Today was my weekly Gran arthritic knee group physio ... it was run by a lovely physio a lady today not Joshua.... We all had a connected time sharing our experiences... We all have good days in among the bad pain days..with a need to pace ourselves... so we do not do too much on the good days for it to catch up and make the bad days.  I was telling the group on Sunday I walked through Hyde park and Kensington Palace gardens there was a point the pain was too much that I felt I just wanted to stand not move and was nearly in tears wondering how I was to walk back to Paddington to get home...Will power won for me to succeed in getting home, plus focusing with mindfulness on the lovely time I had had with the artists, the parakeets and tea at the Palace! We are all working on Will Power trying our best to overcome the challenge of arthritic knees....It helps sharing and the physio exercises help and make sense...
I picked up a leaflet from the physio clinic from Arthritis Research UK  this I think all families should have to understand the problems and issues and how to keep well... Most of all to maintain mobility to preserve independence.. A big worry I have as I feel my body ageing.....

Horse friend for carrots

After my Gran knee group physio today, decided to call in the supermarket next door to get some carrots with a plan to feed the horses in the park near me. So on the way home took a gentle walk through the park and fussed over the two horses in the park paddock.  I did actually think I had more photos but could not see the screen on my tablet in the sun... when I got home the shots I had taken was of a man and his son also turning up to pet the horses.. lol I think I had the lens to selfie not outward... I need Celine my 2yrs old technician from my Family Link Up I love the horses as they are rescue ones so lovely that they have a kind loving home now with horse lovers.

My carrot soup I have just made at home was lekker (tasty in Dutch) was Carrot and Ginger with Lebanese spices, Lancashire yoghurt eaten with Italian olive bread... A United Nations soup! :-)
It must be love.... love of carrots!

Healing through cooking TOGETHER

At the Kensington Palace shop it was the first time I am seeing the Together cooking book that the Duchess of Sussex helped to produce.... I think every household should have a copy ... some good recipes but look at the whole concept for the book... I am taking the quote from Amazon where this book can also be purchased...All proceeds go to the Hubb Community Kitchen where there is a lot of healing going on through coming together to cook.
Together celebrates the power of cooking to connect us to one anotherIn the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire, a group of local women gathered together to cook fresh food for their families and neighbours.
Over the chatter and aromas of the kitchen they discovered the power of cooking and eating together to create connections, restore hope and normality, and provide a sense of home. This was the start of the Hubb Community Kitchen.
Together is a storybook of this West London community, showcasing over 50 delicious recipes from the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen and including a foreword by HRH The Duchess of Sussex.
The women invite you to make their favourite simple dishes - many handed down over generations - from the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Eastern Mediterranean for you and your loved ones.
Every dish tells a story of history, culture and family, and each has been developed to use few ingredients and easy methods so that anyone can cook these personal recipes.
Together features mouthwatering recipes including Green Chilli and Avocado Dip, Coconut Chicken Curry, Aubergine Masala, Persian Chicken with Barberry Rice, Caramelised Plum Upside-Down Cake, Spiced Mint Tea and lots more.
This stunning charity cookbook is a homage to life, friendship and togetherness.

Baby gifts fit for an heir

Top quality baby wear at the Kensington Palace Shop some expensive but some not too bad a price.. The romper suit with crowns can double up as a top with trouser or a skirt if girl... the material is thick and warm... If I was able to get one for Adam in Germany it would be passed down to other babies with plenty of wear for sure.. Family Link Up

Tea at the Palace

Well one was near the Palace so one simply had to go for tea....! was exhausted in the heat and my arthritic knees paining me despite topical pain relief... so was well and truly ready for a sit down with a nice pot of tea... It is ages since I have been to Kensington Palace... and loved the new gift shop and the tea room with garden seating.   The staff so kindly and I struck up some conversations with other visitors.. That is how the day felt today like a comradeship with other tourists and those simply enjoying the sunshine.  But oh my I always feel the connection to Princess Diana when I am round the Palace.  I am sure she would appreciate the befriending I do with my project Family Link Up  I have written to the lads but the reply from their office was they are busy with their own projects and that is evident for sure.
There are some lovely gift ideas in the shop...you can buy online too

The scarves are lovely and so soft I was wondering about getting one for Boshra as thy can be worn as Hijab... just shown her the photo and she likes the black one with the bird and flower pattern on.. They are reasonable prices too! I was showing her the Jasmine soaps too as Jasmine is the national flower for Syria and well loved for its perfume...   Good day today for me..
